Temporary and Permanent Bans From Call of Duty Ghosts
There are a few offenses out there that Infinity Ward sees as fit for being banned, either temporarily or permanently.
If you received a temporary ban, these will typically last anywhere between 48 hours and 2 weeks. The duration of the ban depends on what you did to get banned.
If you were permanently banned, then the severity of the ban is in the name itself, and it will not be removed.
Boosting Stats / XP / Prestige / Unlocks
Anyone who is caught boosting their stats, in-game scores, the levels of their weapons, prestige, XP points or unlocks in multiplayer will be temporarily banned from multilayer gameplay. Along with a temp. ban, all stats will be reset and leaderboard entries will be removed.
If players are caught boosting repeatedly, there are grounds for being permanently blocked from showing up on leaderboards, prestige and unlocks can be lost and split-screen abilities may be removed. This depends on the severity of the case, as well as how many previous offenses the player has had in the past.
