What Was in the Last Call of Duty Ghosts Update Besides Spawn Improvements?
The most recent update for all consoles on Call of Duty Ghosts (Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC) except Wii-U brings us the largest Ghosts update to date. Let’s take a look at what some of the key features and additions this update held.
Under hotfixes, the main changes brought in a balance to some of the aliens in Extinction mode, updates to the killstreaks when changing game-types and a small change in the countdown timer for the Clan v Clan playlist.
For the new features that were added in this update, we get various playlist updates such as the gun game replacing heavy duty mode, adding a hunted free-for-all mode and some eSports rule changes for Clan v Clan. Other changes included some fancy new multiplayer lobby music, a social feed, new prestige ranks and create a soldier option for extinction as well as some other small changes.
In terms of stability updates for Call of Duty Ghosts, we can expect to see some load time improvements under the Flooded, Strikezone and Warhawk maps. On top of that there were more much needed spawn improvements and functionality issues fixed.
Anti-Cheat updates included a fix for players using more loadouts than normal, the ability to block users from sharing camos and reticles that weren’t unlocked, and some other improvements for anti-cheat as a whole that weren’t detailed.
This was just a small look into the January 28 update for COD: Ghosts. On top of these we also saw many more changes to weapon and perk balances, eSports, Extinction, and more fixes. Click to see the full list of updates.
